Local Elections 2014

Thank you for once again expressing your confidence in me as your public representative. I was comfortably elected to the third of the six seats in the Blackrock Local Electoral Area with a strong mandate to continue to work for you locally.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown residents can also get voter forms in post offices, DLR libraries, Garda Stations or by contacting the Voter Registration Section on (01) 205-4880 or by e-mail at registerofelectors@dlrcoco.ie.

If you are in any doubt that you are registered to vote, you can contact the Council’s Voter Registration Section on (01) 205-4880 to confirm if you are on the Electoral (or Supplemental Electoral) Register. ALL residents are entitled to be registered to vote if they have been living in Ireland for at least six months, so make sure your voice is heard.

  • ALL RESIDENTS may vote in local elections;
  • ALL RESIDENT EUROPEAN CITIZENS may vote in elections to the European Parliament;
  • RESIDENTS WITH IRISH & BRITISH NATIONALITY may vote in elections to Dáil Éireann;
  • but only resident RESIDENT IRISH CITIZENS may vote in Presidential elections and referenda to amend the Constitution.

L = Local (may vote at Local elections only)
E= European Citizens (may vote at European and Local Elections)
D = UK Citizen (may vote in local, European and General Elections)

If you have obtained Irish Citizenship, you need to complete the RFA5 form for your citizenship to be updated and attach proof. All forms can be downloaded from our website: www.dlrcoco.ie

Is féidir leat an Clár Toghthóirí reatha a sheiceáil freisin i leabharlanna, in Oifigí Poist, agus i Stáisiúin Gardaí. De rogha air sin, is féidir teagmháil a dhéanamh leis an Rannóg Toghchórais DLR ar (01) 205-4880. Má tá tú cláraithe i gceart, ní gá duit aon rud eile a dhéanamh. Má tá aon athruithe ag teastáil uait, áfach, e.g. murar cláraíodh riamh cheana tú chun vótáil nó más ea go slánóidh tú 18 mbliana d’aois i gcaitheamh na bliana, comhlánaigh Foirm RFA2. Má d’athraigh tú do sheoladh, caithfidh tú an fhoirm um athrú ar sheoladh RFA3 a chomhlánú.
