I asked the County Manager to re-instate the pedestrian barrier at the entrance to Barclay Court, for pedestrians crossing Frascati Road, (see question below). I have now been notified that work will be carried out between 10am 4pm on Tuesday and Wednesday the 18th and 19th of May to install pedestrian guard rails.
Street sweeping schedule
According to the Council’s street sweeping schedule, Barclay Court is next due to be street cleaned on the following dates: 14th June, 12th July, 9th August, 13th September and 11th October.
The flood control scheme for the Carysfort-Maretimo stream was approved by the Council in January. There are small changes to the works next to Barclay Court which mean that the stream will be widened rather than having a culvert inserted. For more information, you can read the full report at barryward.ie/testsite.
Rosemont Secondary School
Rosemont School has applied for planning permission for new premises on the Enniskerry Road (see application below). The land at that location was been re-zoned by councillors as part of the new County Development Plan and I understand the school plans to be in situ in Sandyford for the new school year 2011/2012.

Reinstatement of Pedestrian Barrier at Barclay Court
Question: Councillor B. Ward
“To ask the Manager if a pedestrian barrier can be re-instated at the corner of Barclay Court and Frascati Road, where one previously existed at the pedestrian crossing?”
The pedestrian crossing on Frascati Road at Barclay Court has been inspected recently. High vision pedestrian barriers will be installed at this location in the next few weeks.
