The ‘Carnegie Cinema Club’ is a new, monthly film club, designed to make alternative, world and arthouse cinema available in Blackrock Library’s reading room.
Starting this month, the programmes will be selected under the guidance of experienced film club facilitator, Anne Legarreta, and will feature classics of cinema, outstanding Irish movies, solid dramas, inventive animation, eye-opening documentaries, intelligent comedies and cult film favourites. There will also be guest directors and even some Irish premieres; each screening will be preceded by an introduction and followed by a post-film discussion with the audience.
Season One starts this week, on Thursday the 12th of January.
