Proposed facilities at Cabinteely Park, which is within the curtilage of a Protected Structure.

In accordance with Part 8, Article 81 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 – 2009, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council hereby gives notice of the construction of proposed new facilities at CABINTEELY PARK, which is within the curtilage of a Protected Structure, as follows:

 

Project No.1: Demolition of 20th Century farm building and construction of a single storey toilet block with disabled facilities and baby and Child Changing facilities (with exterior wall finished in stone facing and copper finished roof) accessed from the entrance road to the house and adjoining the car park.

 

Project No. 2: Renovations to Existing Stable Building to provide change of use to new Coffee Bar and Exhibition Centre.  Works will comprise of repairs to the structure including to existing windows, chimney floor and new windows inserted in existing openings to first floor, replacement of previously removed first floor with timber floor and stairs to be supported on structural steel tie system to retain existing walls.  New kitchen to ground floor and amendments to adjoining toilets with new opening to Coffee Bar on ground floor.  New glazed internal screens to existing carriage garages and internal wall and new single doors to rear to provide access for services.

 

Project No. 3: New play structure incorporating children’s toilets, disabled toilets and baby changing facilities on two stories at entrance to existing playground.

 

Plans and particulars of the proposals are available for inspection from Thursday 29th April, 2010 up to and including Thursday 10th June 2010, at the Planning Department, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire between the hours of 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and at the Council Offices, Dundrum Office Park, Dundrum between the hours 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.

 

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposals, and dealing with the proper planning and development of the area, may be made in writing on or before Thursday 24th June 2010.
