Avoca Place, Blackrock
The Drainage section need to implement a temporary emergency road closure for drainage purposes on Friday and Saturday 18th and 19th February between the hours of 9am -5pm. A manhole in the middle of the carriageway must be re-built. Diversion route will be in place via Sydney Avenue, Green Road and Sydney Terrace.
M11 North and Southbound between Fassaroe and Wilford
It is necessary to clear vegetation on both sides of the M11 Motorway to facilitate the installation of public lighting. The hard shoulder will be closed both North and Southbound between Fassaroe and Wilford up to and including Friday 25th February between 8am and 7pm
Trees Road Lower, junction of Sycamore Road to South Avenue
Work will continue on water main rehabilitation on Trees Road lower until Friday 25th February 2011 between 8am-6pm.
Water main rehabilitation works
Restrictions will be in place on Saturday 19th & Sunday the 20th to carry out works for the water main rehabilitation program:
• Saturday 19th – Re-instatement works on Deerpark Road
• Saturday 19th – Florence Rd / Wyndham Park Junction –water main rehabilitation works.
• Sunday 20th – Deerpark Rd. –water main rehabilitation works opposite the shops.
Stradbrook Road/Deansgrange Road Junction
Works will continue on the Stradbrook Road / Deans Grange Road Junction until Friday 25th February 2011 between the hours of 8am and 6pm, traffic should not be affected.
Foxrock Church to Dún Laoghaire Dart Station QBC and Cycle Track Scheme-Kill Avenue Section
Quality Bus Corridor (QBC) works continuing on Kill Avenue. A Traffic management plan in operation.
Marine Road/ Crofton Road/ Queens Road: Pedestrian walkway at the Metals with upgrade works to Crofton Rd, Marine Rd & Queens Rd
Marine Rd / Crofton Rd / Queens Rd will undergo resurfacing & alignment works with new public lighting & tree planting. A new signalized pedestrian crossing point will be provided outside the Dart Station. The signalised junction between Marine Rd / Crofton Rd / Queens Rd will be upgraded to create greater pedestrian areas with wider pavements and a public space being provided outside Meadows & Byrne. Works commenced in May 2010 on Crofton Rd and will proceed in a phased manner throughout the scheme with a completion date of May 2011.
Mounttown Road Lower, Glenageary Road Upper, Kill Lane (part)
The roadworks are nearing completion on Glenageary Road Upper, Kill Avenue (part of) and at the existing Mounttown Roundabout junction to convert the junction to a traffic signalled junction. In January 2011 Works will recommence on Glenageary Road Upper, where connection works for a new watermain and road resurfacing works have to be completed. These works will require stop/go traffic management operations. There will be other sections of Mounttown Road Lower and around the overall roadworks site where finishing and snagging works and road resurfacing works will require stop/go traffic management operations. The red asphalt material for the cyclepaths will not be laid until March 2011 due to manufacturer’s temperature restrictions. All these works are being carried out, by Cosgrave Developments, as part of the Planning Conditions for the adjacent Cosgrave development (Old Dun Laoghaire Golf Club (South).
George’s Street Upper/Northumberland Avenue, Dún Laoghaire
Works will continue on Georges Street Upper near Northumberland Ave to facilitate the installation of raised junction platforms until March 2011 between the hours of 8am to 6pm. Stop/Go will be in operation at Northumberland Ave between 10am-4pm at various stages throughout the works.
Works will take place to upgrade the existing pedestrian crossings along Sallynoggin road and to facilitate the installation of a new pedestrian crossing west of the Maxol garage. Slight footpath restrictions will be encountered along Sallynoggin road until February 25th when the work will be completed.
Main Street Blackrock, Blackrock Village
The water main rehabilitation project commenced in Blackrock Village on 4th January and will continue till Friday 25th February 2011. Work will take place between 9am-5pm with temporary Stop/Go in operation on Main Street, starting at Rock Hill, heading towards the junction of Main Street with Carysfort Avenue. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.
George’s Street Upper/Clarinda Park West/Melifont Avenue, Dún Laoghaire
Works will continue on Georges Street Upper at Clarinda Park West/Melifont Avenue by CLG on behalf of Bord Gais until Friday 25th February to facilitate trial holes for the installation of two gas mains across the junction. Stop/Go will be in operation between 10am and 4pm
Main Street Blackrock
The water main rehabilitation project commenced in Blackrock Village on 4th January and will continue till Friday 25th February 2011. Work will take place between 9am-5pm with temporary Stop/Go in operation on: Main Street (at Bath Place) and Main Street (from Newtown Avenue to Carysfort Avenue)
Minor traffic restrictions will be in place on the Rock Road between Newtownpark Avenue and Trimleston Avenue on 19th and 20th February between 6am and 2pm, to facilitate road sweeping and gully cleaning.
