Once again, “Outdoor Movies in the Park” will take place in The People’s Park, Dún Laoghaire this year, for three days on Saturday, Sunday and Monday the 4th, 5th and 6th of June 2011. The films’ start times are 3pm, 5.30pm and 8.30pm each evening. The series, which presents free screenings of popular classics and blockbuster films, transforms the glorious People’s Park into an outdoor cinema for the bank holiday weekend with an eclectic mix of animated films, action adventures, popular comedies, and all-time favourites.
The backdrop for the giant screen will be the dramatic horizon of Dún Laoghaire Harbour. Film-goers can bring picnics and blankets for a great family day out. Popcorn and other treats will be available for purchase throughout the event, and on Sunday, the hugely popular COCO Market will bring a delicious medley of ethnic fare and sweet and savoury cuisine.
