
At the request of a resident in the Glenvar Park area, I asked the Council management to replace or refurbish the old place name sign that had been there for decades (see image). The question was tabled on the 29th of October 2014, at the Dún Laoghaire Area Committee (see below).
The sign was eventually replaced that last month, but the old, rusted sign was left in place and still needs to be removed.
Obviously, the foundations of the new sign were not very solid as it has now fallen over and is a hazard. I have asked the Council to put the new sign on the wall instead of making a new housing for it.
