At the request of the Cabinteely Crossroads Céilí Committee, a section of Johnstown Road in Cabinteely village, between the junction of the N11 and the junction of the Old Bray Road, will be temporarily closed between 5pm on July 23rd to 1pm on July 24th 2011. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and the proposed diversion route, which will be clearly signposted, will be via the Old Bray Road and Clonkeen Road, and vice versa.
The Cabinteely Crossroads Céilí was started in 1949 and is the last remaining crossroads céilí in Leinster. The Village Crossroads Céilí is an intrinsic part of Cabinteely, providing an opportunity for the whole community to unite in traditional music and dancing. It allows children to enjoy and experience our native culture.
