ROAD CLOSURES

Road Closure Avoca Place, Blackrock

Emergency road closure is required to repair a collapsed culvert between 9am-5pm on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th February 2011, diversions will be in place via Sydney Avenue, Green Road and Sydney Terrace.

ROADWORKS / LANE RESTRICTIONS

Trees Road Lower, junction of Sycamore Road to South Avenue

Work will continue on water main rehabilitation on Trees Road lower until Friday 18th February 2011 between 8am-6pm.

Stradbrook Road / Deans Grange Road Junction

Works will continue on the Stradbrook Road / Deans Grange Road Junction until Friday 11th February 2011 between the hours of 8am and 6pm, traffic should not be affected.

Foxrock Church to Dún Laoghaire Dart Station QBC and Cycle Track Scheme-Kill Avenue Section
Quality Bus Corridor (QBC) works continuing on Kill Avenue. A Traffic management plan in operation.

Marine Road/ Crofton Road/ Queens Road: Pedestrian walkway at the Metals with upgrade works to Crofton Rd, Marine Rd & Queens Rd

Marine Rd / Crofton Rd / Queens Rd will undergo resurfacing & alignment works with new public lighting & tree planting. A new signalized pedestrian crossing point will be provided outside the Dart Station. The signalised junction between Marine Rd / Crofton Rd / Queens Rd will be upgraded to create greater pedestrian areas with wider pavements and a public space being provided outside Meadows & Byrne. Works commenced in May 2010 on Crofton Rd and will proceed in a phased manner throughout the scheme with a completion date of May 2011. Works will continue off-road throughout December and two-way traffic will be maintained.

Mounttown Road Lower, Glenageary Road Upper, Kill Lane (part)

The roadworks are nearing completion on Glenageary Road Upper, Kill Avenue (part of) and at the existing Mounttown Roundabout junction to convert the junction to a traffic signalled junction. In January 2011 Works will recommence on Glenageary Road Upper, where connection works for a new watermain and road resurfacing works have to be completed. These works will require stop/go traffic management operations. There will be other sections of Mounttown Road Lower and around the overall roadworks site where finishing and snagging works and road resurfacing works will require stop/go traffic management operations. The red asphalt material for the cyclepaths will not be laid until March 2011 due to manufacturer’s temperature restrictions. All these works are being carried out, by Cosgrave Developments, as part of the Planning Conditions for the adjacent Cosgrave development (Old Dun Laoghaire Golf Club (South).

Georges Street Upper/Northumberland Ave, Dun Laoghaire
Works will continue on Georges Street Upper near Northumberland Ave and Clarinda Park West to facilitate the installation of raised junction platforms until March 2011 between the hours of 8am to 6pm. Stop/Go will be in operation at Northumberland Ave between 10am-4pm at various stages throughout the works.

Sallynoggin Road
Works will take place to upgrade the existing pedestrian crossings along Sallynoggin road and to facilitate the installation of a new pedestrian crossing west of the Maxol garage. Slight footpath restrictions will be encountered along Sallynoggin road until February 11th when the work will be completed.

Main Street Blackrock, Blackrock Village

The water main rehabilitation project commenced in Blackrock Village on 4th January and will continue till Friday 25th February 2011. Work will take place between 9am-5pm with temporary Stop/Go in operation on Main Street, starting at Rock Hill, heading towards the junction of Main Street with Carysfort Avenue. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works

Rock Road

Traffic restrictions will be in place at various locations along the Rock Road from 20th January to 9th February between 10:00 – 16:00 to facilitate manhole cover repairs

Marine Road adjacent to Pavilion Shopping Centre Entrance and St Michaels Church

Work will be carried out to complete the installation of ducting in footpath and installation of a minipillar from Monday 31st January until Friday 11th February 2011. Traffic lanes will not be affected.

Dalkey Dart Station – Railway Road

Reinstatement works will be carried out on the recently widened road adjacent to the bridge and sign poles will be installed on Cunningham Road and Ardeevin Road from Thursday 27th January until Friday 11th February 2011 between 8am and 5pm.

Georges Street Upper/Clarinda Park West/Melifont Ave, Dun Laoghaire

Works will continue on Georges Street Upper at Clarinda Park West/Melifont Avenue by CLG on behalf of Bord Gais to facilitate trial holes for the installation of two gas mains across the junction. Stop/Go will be in operation between 10am-4pm.

Main Street Blackrock / Carysfort Ave / Temple Road, Blackrock Village

The water main rehabilitation project commenced in Blackrock Village on 4th January and will continue till Friday 25th February 2011. Works on the junction of Main Street/Carysfort Ave/Temple Road will begin on Saturday and Sunday 5th and 6th February with a Stop/Go in operation between the hours of 8am -6pm.

Work will take place between 8am-6pm with temporary Stop/Go in operation on Main Street, at Bath Place from Monday 7th February to Friday 11th February. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

Frascati Road at the shopping centre entrance and bus stop

Minor restrictions will be in place to facilitate the dishing of kerbs and the installation of tactile paving. Work will also be carried out to complete the installation of electrical ducting from Monday 7th February until Friday 11th February 2011 between 08:00 and 17:00

Old Dublin Road adjacent to the Stillorgan Shopping Centre

Minor restrictions will be in place to facilitate the installation of a signalised crossing point and the installation of real time passenger information signage at the bus stop from Monday 7th February until Friday 11th February 2011 between 08:00 and 17:00

Glenamuck Road at the Carrickmines Luas Station

Restrictions will be in place to facilitate the installation of 2no. bus stops and real time passenger information signage from Friday 4th February until Friday 25th February 2011 between 09:00 and 17:00

N11 from UCD to Foxrock Church

Minor traffic restrictions will be in place on the N11 between UCD and Foxrock Church (in the southbound lanes) on 5th and 6th February between 06:00 – 14:00 to facilitate road sweeping.

Killiney Hill Road at Victoria Road Roundabout

Traffic restrictions will be in place on Killiney Hill Road at Victoria Road Roundabout to facilitate the raising of ironworks and the reinstatement of ramps and kerbs from 7th until 14th February between 8am and 6pm. These works will disrupt the Bus services.
