I am really delighted to see that Dunne & Crescenzi is going to open a branch of its excellent Italian restaurants in Blackrock.
Blackrock now has a number of great eateries for locals and visitors alike, and D&C can only add to the village’s reputation with its authentic Italian cuisine, ensuring that Blackrock is fast becoming a great destination for dining.
Established by Eileen Dunne and Stefan Crescenzi 25 years ago, many people will be familiar with their award-winning restaurants on South Frederick Street and in Sandymount. They also have L’Officina Dundrum and Kildare Village, and Bar Italia on Ormond Quay, in the Italian Quarter in Dublin City Centre.
This is the latest in a series of good news stories for Blackrock as a foodie destination, and follows a Michelin Star for Heron & Grey last year and the opening of Rage Restaurant in 2015, among others.
Diners coming to Blackrock will now have a fantastic choice of café and restaurant, at different times of the day, including the following:
Ouzo’s Bar & Grill
Rage
Heron & Grey
The Mellow Fig
The Wooden Spoon
Akash
Kenz
Isan
Flash Harry’s
Diep
Café Java
The Three Tun Tavern
Ciamei Café
Bites by Rage
Mellow Out
El Celler
The Wicked Wolf
Fat Cow Gourmet Burgers
