The DLR Tidy Districts Competition is now open. Applications are invited from towns/villages, housing estates and a new category: “Mixed Use Street”, for groups that are not typical housing estates and would not be classed as a village or town (e.g. a road or street comprised of residential and commercial properties) by 4pm on Friday the 23rd of May.
The application should include work undertaken from May 2013 to now rather than past projects or intended work, a location map detailing the area to be judged, and mounted photographs. The application form is available in English and as Gaeilge.
The Tidy Districts Competition gives Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council an opportunity to publicly recognise the huge effort put in by local communities in enhancing our local environments and making them better places in which to live and work. The aim of the competition is to encourage participants to become more aware of, and responsible for, their local areas.
Judging is due to take place during June and the award ceremony will take place in September in the Assembly Hall in County Hall in Dún Laoghaire.
Completed Entries should be returned to:
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council,
Environment Department, Level 3,
County Hall, Marine Road,
Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
