DART

DARTs will now run more frequently, since Iarnród Éireann introduced its new timetable, today.

The increased frequency is a result of resolved issues between Iarnród Éireann and unions and the approval of the National Transport Authority for the timetable changes.

It means that DART users can now expect to see a train in each direction at least every 10 minutes all day (until 8pm Monday-Friday). Iarnród Éireann has announced changes to some train timetables from today onwards, and advises its customers to consult the new timetable (here) before travelling.

However, this will also mean that the level crossing at Merrion Gates will now be closed more often, so there could be a knock-on effect on traffic on Rock Road (in-bound).
