I was delighted to have nominated the Laura Lynn Foundation for a Local Authority Members’ Association Award on Saturday night, and really pleased for them when they won not only their category (2013 Healthcare Building of the Year), but the overall award.

“That the Council supports equal access to marriage for all people, irrespective of sexuality”.
Was passed by a clear majority (17-4) of councillors.
I am very disappointed by the decision of the County Manager to carry our demolition works at Blackrock Baths. Brookfield Terrace, Blackrock will be temporarily closed to through traffic from next Monday the 23rd July until Friday the 28th September 2012, to facilitate restoration works – a traffic management plan will be in operation and local access will be maintained at all times.

The Railway Procurement Agency needs to make an effort to facilitate cyclists and remove the Luas ban on carrying bicycles. No one is asking for them to replace passengers at peak times, but when there is space, cyclists should be allowed to carry their bicycles on the Luas.
